Jackie chan is an Imperial Guard from the Forbidden City, who comes to America to rescue the kidnapped Princess Pei Pei. Along the way, he hooks up with Roy O'Bannon the outlaw, and the search for the Princess and the gold (of course) is on.

Pretty standard stuff, as comedy-action films go, but this movie delivers the goods high-octane, with a wink a nudge with an elbow.

Yeah, sure Jackie Chan's amazing to watch, but the real story here is Owen Wilson. He's the gentleman outlaw, who can't shoot, can't control his gang, and isn't much of a lady's man. What he is though, is funny as hell. And he spends the better portion of the movie trying to teach Jackie Chan's character the in's and out's of the "Code of the West". Needless to say, I haven't laughed this much in a long time.

With far fewer serious overtones, and a lot more humor and action, this movie strikes the perfect balance for Jackie Chan's style of movie. So if you've scene Rumble in the Bronx, and Rush Hour, and just weren't impressed (which I wasn't really), I'd still recommend this one to you.

The Bottom Line
Everything Rush Hour should have been. As M.C. Hammer would say, "PROPER!"
